Groove.cm / GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels

Groove.cm (formerly GrooveFunnels) vs ClickFunnels is a popular comparison for many would-be marketers. There are lots of reasons for this, but in short: They’re the best solutions available today. Each one looks at marketing automation in its own unique way.

For many users, ClickFunnels is the leading tool. However, while it comes with an impressive feature set, Groove.cm packs a lot into its toolbox too. In fact, both funnel builders could be an all-in-one ecosystem for your marketing automation.

Over the course of this post, we’re going to compare Groove.cm (GrooveFunnels) vs ClickFunnels. By the end of the post, you’ll have all of the information you need to make the right choice.

Here’s what we’re going to cover:

Groove.cm (GrooveFunnels) vs ClickFunnels: Both in a nutshell

Both Groove.cm and ClickFunnels are marketing automation tools. This is a fancy way of saying that you set up a number of steps to visualize your sales funnel, and the tool will carry out the ‘donkey work’ for each part. Your chosen tool will have functionality to carry this out.

Both Groove.cm and ClickFunnels come with almost everything you need to nail each part of this process, and more. Here’s a quick overview of both:

  • ClickFunnels. This is somewhat the standard-bearer for building funnels. It uses a visual builder to piece together a fully-functional sales funnel using a mixture of templates, elements, and other functionalities.
  • Groove.cm. This is a newer solution that aims to cover almost every base of marketing automation, sales funnels, and customer management. You’ll use a lot of integrated first-party apps to achieve your goals.

Unlike other comparisons, both Groove.cm and ClickFunnels target the same audience, so in lots of cases, the solutions will go head-to-head when it comes to what each one can offer.

Groove.cm (GrooveFunnels) vs ClickFunnels: Which funnel builder should you choose in 2022?

We’re going to look at four key points of comparison when it comes to Groove.cm (GrooveFunnels) vs ClickFunnels. Of course, the general feature set is important, so this will be first.

However, we’re also going to look at how easy each funnel builder is to use, how you build content (along with its intuitiveness) and the cost of each tool.

First though, the features.

Features

There are lots packed into both Groove.cm and ClickFunnels. As such, let’s roundup some of the features you might expect to feature in both solutions using the following table:

Feature Groove.cm ClickFunnels
Build funnels
WordPress integration
Split testing
Membership/subscription functionality
Affiliate program
Drag-and-drop builder
Email marketing functionality
Follow-up with lost customers and leads

You’ll find that Groove.cm is more wide-ranging when it comes to its focus. While ClickFunnels is all about the sales funnel and how to maximize it, Groove.cm looks further afield. It lets you work across a number of channels and apps within its ecosystem, and there are a lot of areas Groove.cm covers:

Groove.cm's (GrooveFunnels') collection of integrated apps.

Even so, ClickFunnels isn’t short on features, it’s more that its focus is narrow. You’ll still find everything you need within each app to build successful funnels.

🏆 Winner: Tie. Groove.cm (GrooveFunnels) vs ClickFunnels wouldn’t get too far if one didn’t have the right blend of functionality and features. Both of these tools have almost everything you need. However, the difference is how each funnel builder implements and presents them.

Ease of use

The head honchos of Groove.cm and ClickFunnels both understand their target users. It won’t be technical wizards or someone with a team of developers at their disposal. As such, both Groove.cm and ClickFunnels incorporate user-focused designs and implementations across every app in the respective ecosystems.

However, I did note one aspect of Groove.cm that marks it down. You can only use the app in Google Chrome, which is not good from a usability standpoint:

A warning in Groove.cm showing that it won't work in any browser other than Chrome.

Even so, both tools are slick, friendly, and easy to navigate. I’d probably give the points to Groove.cm on the dashboard and app styling, but ClickFunnels has one ace up its sleeve: The onboarding.

At the point of confirmation, you have the offer of a space on a seminar to get up to speed on how to use ClickFunnels. Once you get into the dashboard, it’s clear what you need to do next.

You’ll find checklists all over ClickFunnels, and they are helpful in order to navigate a dense and feature-packed system. What’s more, you have FunnelFlix, which is a video library full of content to help you use the products you’ve paid for.

🏆 Winner: ClickFunnels. Groove.cm has a better-looking system, but ClickFunnels is so straightforward to use. There are handy checklists, support articles, and other helping hands at every turn. This means even those with no technological expertise can build with ClickFunnels, which isn’t something we could say of Groove.cm.

Building content

Groove.cm’s goal is to help you handle all of the marketing for your product or service. As such, there are lots of different templates to choose from, covering a number of applications:

Once you get into the editor, you’ll be at home. Like some of the best WordPress page builders, Groove.cm uses a drag-and-drop builder to create content:

On the other hand, ClickFunnels walks you through the process and gives you some simple, clear options based on the funnel you want to create:

ClickFunnels will also give you the option to choose a template, and each one looks fit for purpose:

It’s interesting that the ClickFunnels editing experience looks like Beaver Builder in places, compared to Groove.cm’s Elementor-like look:

This is also a drag-and-drop option that is just as intuitive, clean, and super-easy to use as the one on Groove.cm:

Though, it’s worth noting that with Groove.cm you can choose a full-site template and work with it from there. With ClickFunnels, you’ll work on individual pages of your funnel.

🏆 Winner: Tie. Both Groove.cm and ClickFunnels have stellar editors, and if you’re a WordPress user, you’ll love the functionality of both. There’s nothing to separate them here, and you choice might even come down to whether you like Elementor or Beaver Builder better!

Pricing

One aspect of funnel builder platforms that often goes amiss during reviews is how hidden the pricing is. This is good marketing sense because you sell the product, make the user need it, and then reveal the price. Often, the cost is high; otherwise, the companies could state how cheap a solution is upfront.

As such, this is a key battleground for both solutions. Let’s take a look at this in more detail.

Groove.cm (GrooveFunnels)

Groove.cm is a newer solution, so it has a unique pricing model that is undergoing refinement. There is no typical month-to-month pricing; instead, there is a one-time lifetime license to purchase in three different ways:

  • One payment of $1,997
  • Two payments of $999
  • Three payments of $699

Because there is one tier with three different ways to pay, the feature set is the same between them. This is at least simple to understand and potentially budget for.

ClickFunnels

In contrast, ClickFunnels keeps things simple, which is a good idea on their front to capture more customers. In fact, there are two plans to choose from:

  • ClickFunnels. This $97 per month plan includes a basic level of features and functionality. You can build 20 funnels, 100 sub-pages, use three payment gateways, and connect three domains. However, you don’t have access to any follow-up funnels, for when a potential lead drops out.
  • ClickFunnels Platinum. This is the full ClickFunnels experience and comes in at $297 per month. It’s a big skip from the standard tier, but does include priority support, follow-up funnels, and lets you create a practically unlimited number of funnels and pages. You can also connect to more domains.

You might also see mentions of an old tier – TwoCommaClubX. However, this isn’t a part of the main offering, and in any case, costs nearly $2,500 per month. Also, you can’t sign up for it at the time of writing (although registrations may open at some point in the future).

🏆 Winner

ClickFunnels (just). If you like one-time payments, Groove.cm might tempt you – especially given the different payment options. However, $97 per month is reasonable if you make money from your funnels, and you’d be more likely to benefit from a small chunk coming out of your bank once per month over laying down a huge chunk of cash.

Groove.cm (GrooveFunnels) vs ClickFunnels: Summary

Marketing automation can bring you away from the monotonous work associated with your sales churn and put you back into a space where you can concentrate on growth. Lots of users consider both Groove.cm and ClickFunnels to be stellar for the task. However, the choice should be yours alone.

Over this article, we have compared Groove.cm vs ClickFunnels in a number of areas. In reality, there’s little difference between each solution, and you’ll want to choose whichever one meets the needs of your project. In fact, you could use both across multiple projects if you have the budget. However, I think Groove.cm does lack some features that ClickFunnels includes. Regardless, both funnels builders are fantastic, and I can recommend both of them to almost everyone who wants to automate their marketing.
