Are you a fan of Google Docs? Sure you are. It’s an amazing tool thanks to its easy collaboration and formatting features. However, it wasn’t that amazing if you wanted to import from Google Docs to WordPress…until now<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the team at Automattic, it’s now possible to import posts directly from Google Docs to your self-hosted WordPress site using the Jetpack plugin<\/strong>. And in this post, I’ll give you a detailed tutorial on how to do just that!<\/p>\n

\u26a0\ufe0f Since the time this post got published, the possibility to integrate Google Docs with WordPress via Jetpack has ceased to work. The following advice is no longer up to date and should be used as reference material. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Step-by-Step: How to import from Google Docs to WordPress using Jetpack<\/h2>\n

For now, the only way to take advantage of the new import from Google Docs to WordPress feature is through the Jetpack plugin<\/a>. To that end, I’m going to start this tutorial with a quick guide on\u00a0how to install and configure Jetpack.<\/p>\n

I know there’s a decent chance that you might already be using Jetpack. So if that’s you, feel free to skip ahead to the next section where the rest of the magic happens.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1: Install and configure Jetpack for your site<\/h3>\n

For our purposes, Jetpack<\/a> is a free plugin that you can install directly from the WordPress.org directory. Get started by installing and activating<\/a> it:<\/p>\n
