Order matters for the customer experience: upload first, size second, extras last.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"step-3-file-upload-field\" class=\"wp-block-heading joli-heading jtoc-heading\">Step 3: Add the artwork upload field (Pro)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The File Input field is the whole point of this build, and it is a <strong>Pro-only<\/strong> field type. The free version of PPOM does not handle file uploads at all, so if this field is the reason you&rsquo;re here, the free plugin alone won&rsquo;t get you there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In your field group, click <strong>Add field<\/strong> and choose <strong>File Input<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the title to something instructive, like &ldquo;Upload your artwork&rdquo;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mark the field as <strong>required<\/strong>, so the order can&rsquo;t go through without a file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the field&rsquo;s advanced settings and set <strong>allowed file types<\/strong> (for example <code>jpg,png,pdf<\/code>) and a <strong>maximum file size<\/strong> that matches your hosting and your workflow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you print raster images, also set <strong>minimum image dimensions<\/strong>, so a 400-pixel-wide logo can&rsquo;t sneak through and turn into a blurry 24-inch poster.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A nice touch: when you configure file types or a size limit, PPOM displays those limits next to the uploader on the product page, so customers see the rules before they hit upload rather than after an error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#128161; PRO TIP: Lock things down globally too. Under <code>WooCommerce &rarr; Settings &rarr; PPOM Settings<\/code>, the free Basic Settings include a <strong>Restricted File Types<\/strong> option. Blocking executable and script formats there protects every upload field on the site, not just this one.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"step-4-size-select\" class=\"wp-block-heading joli-heading jtoc-heading\">Step 4: Add a size dropdown with price modifiers (Free)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good news for the budget: this part needs no license at all. The <strong>Select<\/strong> field is a free input type, and per-option pricing is a free feature. Each size gets its own add-on price, which PPOM adds to the product&rsquo;s base price when the customer picks it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add a <strong>Select<\/strong> field and title it &ldquo;Print size&rdquo;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add one option per size, for example 12&times;18 in, 18&times;24 in, and 24&times;36 in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set a price on each option: say +$0 for the smallest (your base price covers it), +$6 for the medium, +$14 for the large. Adjust to your real margins, obviously.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the most popular size as the default selected option, so the page loads with a sensible choice.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why Select and not Radio? Both are free and both support per-option prices, but PPOM&rsquo;s own documentation recommends Select when you have many options, since a long radio list eats vertical space.
